On June 9, 2018, family and friends gathered in Rougemont, NC (USA) to witness the marriage of Firekeeper Michael Savino and Margery Nelson Price. Exploring the Core Basis of Prayer, a 2½ day Sacred Fire Lifeways program, is coming to Greensboro, NC (USA) on September 28-30, 2018. Facilitated by Sherry Morgan, the event will take place at the home of Firekeepers Shine and Christine Staub, which is located on 60 acres of rolling woods and fields in the Piedmont foothills.

In its fifth year, it can be said that the careful planting, tending and harvesting of the corn is, essentially, a summer-long prayer asking that vital resources be made available so that the participating groups can fulfill their important work in the world. We are grateful and buoyed by how these prayers are being answered: thank you to all of you who have supported us over the years to bring more Fire to our people.
