How might your life be different?

How might your life be different if there were a place for you to go…a place of women, to help you learn the ways of woman…a place where you could be nurtured from an ancient flow sustaining you and steadying you as you sought to become yourself. A place of women to help you find and trust the ancient flow already there within yourself…waiting to be released… A place of women…

Circle of Stones by Judith Duerk

Beginning at puberty the feminine doorway opens.  As a girl stands at the threshold she begins the process toward initiation, deepening to the mystery of life. Sacred Emergence – Initiation into Womanhood is a sacred rite of passage that provides a foundation and an opening for self-awareness to emerge. The ritual ushers her through a doorway where womanhood is honored and expressed and the essential components for life come together. In claiming the sacred feminine in her life, the young woman connects to her inherent gift to create, and with gained competence, makes a new commitment to life to become the person she was born to be.

The ritual is designed to address and foster a deeper connection to the natural world we live in. It is led by elders of the Sacred Fire Community who are trained and experienced in providing and holding a safe container and ritual space for people of modern culture. Within the container that is created, deep ancestral wisdom is honored for the sake of fostering a deeper connection and transformation for each individual.

Applications are now being accepted. The Initiation Council welcomes and encourages girls who have reached puberty and young women up to age 25 to begin the inquiry process. Applicants must be between the ages of 16 and 25. Initiation into Womanhood ritual will be held July 2013. To receive more information or an application, contact Sacred Emergence. Once accepted, initiation candidates are required to make a three month commitment to the preparation leading up to the ritual.
