I look forward to going to the fires. It’s a place to meet people like myself, even people who are very different than me, but yet we all care about about being grounded, connected, and close to the natural elements.
The fires show me that I’m not alone, I’m not mad, or quirky, and we’re all basically the same: this is quite comforting to me. Sometimes, things are talked about that go against my beliefs, and that is a time for me to ponder why does it bother me, then I do the work inside my noggin, and the situation can propel me to be more flexible, open, and assured that we all see things differently. Everyone should have a place where they gather and connect outside of their normal daily routines.
