The Sacred Fire Outreach production team is tight-knit and devoted to the work at hand, which is to extend the invitation for modern human beings to come to the fire once again. We love it, and you will, too! Do you want to help people get off the computer and TV and experience the laughter, sharing, transformation and healing medicine of Fire?
Right now, we have two specific needs: 1) Transcriptionist: someone who is willing to take video and audio content and transcribe to text, so we can use elements of that for written work. 2) Fire Story Content Manager: ideal for someone who likes to engage with people creatively. This is a fun role for someone organized, dedicated, and great at seeing a project through from start to finish. You will get to reach out and ask people to talk about how they have been touched and changed by community fires and Sacred Fire’s other fiery offerings, working with them to bring their short Fire Stories to completion.

I would like to offer my skill set to help Sacred Fire fulfill its mission of reconnecting the human spirit with Great Spirit through re-meeting and knowing Fire.
I have completed Graduate work in Orature and Folk Tales and currently professionally collect oral stories via audio recordings, which I then transcribe into text format for posterity.
It seems to me that the articulated positions of “Transcriptionist,” and “Fire Story Content Manager” are roles that I could thoughtfully and uniquely execute in union.
My historic professional background is in the field of farm-based education and food justice work; recently I completed my M.A. in early childhood development along with a Graduate Certificate in Appalachian Studies. Healing and holding space for authentic growth through movement in Nature, teaching and learning from children, and connecting our Universal Truths through shared and voiced Story are the causes for which I am passionate.
